Language, memory and politics of representation

The main goal of the programme is to establish a consistent and multi-layered cultural history of memory. In this line, an overview and an analysis of the processes concerning the shaping of formalised memory and its everyday use prompt cooperation of researchers from various fields of humanities. The programme contributes not only to the strengthening of knowledge on the formation of the memory (and hence identity) of various communities in the national, Central European and South-eastern European space, but also vastly enriches the debate on the significance of such conceptualisation for the future development of this part of Europe.
