The aim of the study was to evaluate at a quantitative and qualitative level the effects of psychoeducation and pharmacotherapy on patients with bipolar mood disorder (BMD). A neuropsychological approach and a focus group method were employed in order to determine the influence of prescribed pharmacotherapy on cognitive functioning in patients with BMD, as well as to assess the impact of a psychoeducational programme on cognitive and social rehabilitation in patients.
