The 'Care for Good Mental Health' handbook is intended for everyone who wants to know more about mental health problems, forms of help when they arise, and their prevention. What are mental health problems and how do we recognize them? Where can we find help when they arise, and how can we prevent them? The handbook attempts to answer these questions with the help of (first-hand) stories of ordinary people and with simple explanations of the most common mental health problems, forms of help when they arise, and ways to prevent them. The most common mental health problems include stress, burnout, addiction, acute stress disorder and adjustment disorder, PTSD and other anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, sleep disorders, suicidal behavior, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, personality disorders, dementia and intellectual disabilities. Forms of help for mental health problems include self-help and help from health services, help from social and non-governmental services and help from loved ones. At the end of the manual, there is also recommended material on taking care of good mental health in the Slovenian language, which also includes questionnaires with which we can check our well-being.
