2nd Policy Dialogue event
Published on: November 24, 2025The Sociomedical Institute of ZRC SAZU, a partner in the SafeHabitus project (2023–2026) under the Horizon Europe programme, organised the second Policy Dialogue meeting on 24 November 2025. The event was dedicated to presenting the results of the first Policy Dialogue and to discussing the upcoming reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). It was attended primarily by representatives of the public sector and members of the core group of the Slovenian Community of Practice.
During the discussion, participants emphasised that the greatest challenge in Slovenia will be the practical implementation of social conditionality, particularly the definition of who is considered a worker on family farms and who will be subject to the new obligations. As a positive step, they highlighted the inclusion of mental health topics in agricultural advisory services, as well as the need for the timely adjustment of national regulations to ensure the successful implementation of the reform.
The event fostered constructive discussion and opened opportunities for further cooperation, especially in the preparation of the new CAP Strategic Plan and in strengthening the role of occupational safety and health as part of social sustainability in agriculture.
